The following message appeared while tring to view a Quicktime movie from a link in a web page. Who would have thought that being online would keep you from accessing internet content.
The problem was specific to that host and so I never saw the video. But the problem hasn't recurred anywhere else. It was just a really odd error message.
I have JUST seen this same error message watching the apple keynote speech too! I have a MacBook Pro with Processor 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo and 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM and running MAC OS X V10.5.5 and QuickTime™ Version 7.5.5 (990.7)

_exactly_ the same symptoms and setup as anonymous before me.
I solved it by completely deactivating the 3rd party Little Snitch application firewall. Merely adding a QuickTime ALLOW rule did NOT work.
